Transitioning Your Winter Wardrobe into Spring

Well, it's Groundhog Day!  Even though Phil saw his shadow and predicted six more weeks of winter, I remain hopeful that warm, Spring days are on their way.  With Spring comes longer days, warm sunshine, but chilly breezes, rain and snow.  We can't completely put away our winter coats yet, but we can start to wear lighter jackets and cardigans that don't totally cover us up.  I've put together a couple of my favorite staple pieces to transition you from winter to Spring with ease.

The first is a jean jacket.  This is one of my favorite staples because it is so timeless.  The denim jacket has been around since 1880! Levi Strauss invented this iconic piece of clothing for cowboys and has continued to evolve into what it is today: a fashion staple.

A jean jacket is so versatile. It can be worn over a dress, with your favorite pair of jeans, and even leggings.  Putting on my denim jacket automatically gives me a confidence boost! Below, I've paired this denim quilted jacket with a t-shirt dress.  This jacket is perfect for Spring because it's quilted which makes it warm, functional, and stylish.

My second suggestion for transitioning your wardrobe from Winter to Spring is a cardigan, especially one with pockets like this cable knit cardigan. Cardigans are cozy, comfortable, and can be paired with basically anything! They look great with jeans, dresses, or a romper like I've done below.

Either way you go, with a denim jacket or a cardigan, you'll be ready for whatever weather Spring throws at you.
